Humble beginnings...

“Love is the thing that enables a woman to sing while she mops up the floor after her husband has walked across it in his barn boots.” Hoosier Farmer quote

"There's a little white church in the valley
That stands in my memory today.
It seems I can hear the bells now ringing
Tho' I'm many miles away.
And many times in church on Sunday morning
The whole countryside would gather there.
They would all kneel down by the altar
As they lifted up their voice in prayer. "
(hear the song HERE, lyrics HERE)

"Give fools their gold, and knaves their power; let fortune's bubbles rise and fall; who sows a field, or trains a flower, or plants a tree, is more than all." John Greenleaf Whittier

"When we build, let us think that we build for ever." John Ruskin

Thank you... The church is over 100 years old, Methodist... My mom grew up in that church, and they still hold services...

They are, aren't they!
Rick and I got married in a church out in the country south of Bushton, Kansas... Salem United Methodist... But it's not there anymore...
