Well...I've got somethin' to say...your sister's place rocks! I love it. The decor...the barn and especially the old porch pic and chair. You captured the essence of a farm "home on the range". Hey can I borrow your ad astra motto for my blog? Love it.

It does rock... We both love decorating, old things, and rust and want to own a store together...He half would be cowboy stuff, mine would be more shabby chic cottage stuff...
Sure you can use the Ad Astra... you're a Kansan too!

The old house with the rocking chair is an old house they use for storage... they live in a newer place... I have several other great pictures of the inside of her house - maybe I should share them!
The old wheat truck and the International Scout are both my BIL's...

Thanks for the ad astra hon...and for what it's worth back after the tornado I put up a pic of the Kansas flag on my clothesline to honor Greensburg and the dead. A friend in Pennsylvannia gave me that flag ( regulation cotton flag and huge) back in Jan. and she found it in her local goodwill for 3 bucks and sent it to me and it still has the price tag on it. Is'nt that cool? A Kansas flag in a Philly,Penn. goodwill. I have it hanging in my craft room. The pic is in May archives...and heck yes post more pics of the house and farm! I'm with you on shabby and destroyed and rust for decor and peeling paint. :) Dang I love Kansas and Kansans more...

Wow, Pennsylvania, huh? How cool is it that your friend just happened to find it... I like your gesture of hanging it up for Greensburg folks... :)
I love Kansas and Kansans, too... Don't want to live anywhere else...
I will post some more pics from my sister's house!

THanks...
isn't he beautiful? They have 5 or 6 horses, and they are all beautiful, but he always seems to know something...
