Oh this is awesome. It takes me to that feeling I get out in western KS...hard to put in words but it's like I was there long ago. Like my spirit knows this place before I was born. So many feelings in this...

I look for this little barn every to Dodge... I love it...

Have you ever heard of the desert tortise(sp?)? Every single time they have tried to take one out of the desert, to put in a zoo or whatever, it has died, no matter how close they duplicate it's habitat... That is the way my spirit would be if anyone ever tried to take me out of western Kansas... :)

I would live there....

That would be great, if it was out in the middle of nowhere... it's too close to the busy highway for my tastes...
But isn't it gorgeous?

I have seen it! Wyeth is one of my favorite artists... I love that feeling - reminds me of home, always... this picture is indicative of where I live...

I love barn pictures, they are all so unique! I'm originally from Texas (hurricanes) and then Kansas (tornadoes) but my family eventually moved to California were I had to re-build after 2 different earthquakes destroyed my homes, so I don't think I could do it again! That why the UP cold is worth it. I actually chose to come here. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hurricanes? Earthquakes?? Give me a tornado any day! We had 20 minutes warning, and it was over in 10 minutes... There are no warning for earthquakes, and hurricanes last for days!!
I have bookmarked your blog, I really like it! And I saw the "which Austin Hene Are You?" quiz in your sidebar, and I just had to take it... adn I am the same as you, so we MUST have SOMETHING in common!! :)
