After the tornado last spring, all the trees in town were ripped up.. the ones that weren't damaged enough to be taken down sprouted small branches that, when covered with leaves, made them look like poodles... Now the tiny branches are budding out again, here against a coming storm...

Nature gives us so many thought provoking shots, and this is one for me.
Great shot Anita~
Everyone commends us for our rebuilding after the storm, while mother nature quietly goes about her duties in renewal with no pat on the back...
The picture is not as good for Odd Shots Monday as yours, but it'll do!
Anita, Are you the same Anita who posts frequently to Dick's blog? Your site interests me.
Mother Nature has done a wonderful job bringing life back.
my blog
Yes, I am the same Anita!
Thank you!
Mother Nature is inspirational...
Hi Anita, Nice observation. You could also post most any shot post tornado in the "twisted" category right?
Thanks... And you are sure right about that one... lol "Twisted" isn't even the word for it! lol... We had a fabulous get-together with the Native Americans last night who are on The Longest Walk from San Francisco, CA to Washington D.C., and I thought about the "twisted" category when I took a picture of their "staffs"... There are pictures of it in my current post on my other blog, Prairie Dreams...
Nature survives! That's quite a shot.
Nature sure provided you with an excellent Odd Shot.
Glad they were "survivors" and shows that life goes on even after turmoil.
As always a striking and involving photo!
Thank you! Isaiah and I were worried about the trees... :) We're so glad so many of them are going to come back!
great shot, good eye
Mine is up
Nice shot. So glad the trees are resilient. There's a lesson in this photo...
Hope it's a mild storm.
It was a mild storm... in fact, it came down at first as partially frozen rain, and I was just getting out to go get my mail at the post office and by the time I got back to the truck I was covered in slush...lol
Great photo of a tree whom doesn´t give up that easily!
Good catch for a odd shot!
Nature seems to always find a way to struggle back.
Isn't it great how the trees come back? Despite their trauma, they too are survivors.
You're in my thoughts as the anniversary approaches.
Beautiful angle - and I really enjoyed your Photo Hunter shot too.
Thanks everyone! :)
Very good photo. I love it
