Sky Watch Friday

Tornadoes bouncing around Kansas yesterday... this was a storm in the southeast corner of our county that prompted a tornado warning... I used to love going out in storms for pictures... after going through the EF-5, storms aren't as fun...

Sky Watch Friday originates at Wigger's World...

Thanks, everyone!

You know Dot - if I'm out IN the storm, it doesn't scare me NEAR as much as when I'm at home and can't see what's going on...

I've never seen such heavy clouds being that orange.
Plus I never seen a tornado but my mom when she was a kid remembers sitting in the storm celler.

First time doing "Sky Watch Friday"

THanks... The orange ones were just as the sun set, the clouds were in the southeast, and the sunset was a brilliant orange (that sunset will be my next week's SWF!!)

WOW! Great shots:)
We don't have tornadoes here in Norway.
But we have Hurricanes. Not so very often. The last big one that did a lot of damange here where I live was back in 1992.. But we have got more stormy weather the last couple of years.

Storm clouds are beautiful, yet terrifying at the same time. Glad you all escaped the brunt of the storms yesterday. We did here as well. Looks like another rough day today...

Amazing photos, Anita....
Yes, after the F-5 tornado hit Lubbock in 1970, I, too, gained new respect for them..respect and fear

Diane said...

These are beautiful pictures, but I do understand your feelings about the storms now. Yes, I believe I would rather SEE them, than not too~
Take care & God bless~

Great photos Anita. I was wondering about you guys as I read the storm accounts. Seem to be a lot of early storms going through the "Nadie" belt this year. Keep the shelter door propped open when you are taking clouds like these. Pappy
