The Waterloo Courier newspaper is running a series of articles right now discussing the rebuilding of Greensburg, Kansas, and Parkersburg, Iowa. Evidently, the article's author and a photographer were in Greensburg to gather info. The photographer lives not far from me and his home was destroyed in last May's tornado.

Here is a link to today's article, which was the third in a series of four articles:

Waterloo Courier articles: Greensburg/Parkersburg

Thanks for that... I did happen to read that (I have "Greensburg, Kansas" on a Google Alert!) And it's a good article...
Alma is such a sweet lady, I'm glad she found the help - and her little house is so cute!

If we don't find a house soon we will be forced to move away... the Homes for Humanity people talked to us like we were ignorant welfare people, when we inquired about one of their homes... plus, we can't as much as paint a wall for 10 years, and for that 10 years they have the right to come in any time and "inspect" the home.. If I'm paying for it, it's mine. We just didn't agree with those terms. There are a couple of existing homes that just need a little work that we are trying to negotiate the purchase of... if we can't get that done, we're going to have to move away, although our children were the 6th generation of my family to live here...

I'm just praying that God's plan for us includes Greensburg... It's like part of my family, and I'd miss it so much if we had to leave...
