Odd Shots on Monday

10 miles west of Greensburg is Mullinville. A man named MT Liggett has been making these signs for years, and they line highway 400 just west of Mullinville for a quarter of a mile.
Most of them are political... Some of them personal... All of them interesting...

I'm sure they would... he has some I really like... A lot of people think it's just horrible here, though...lol I'd like to have one of his sculptures... He's in his seventies, maybe I should talk to him soon! :)

WOW! Each one of those would be considered an odd shot. . . think of how many posts you could have used them in! lol

LOL... And he's got HUNDREDS of them out there.. this is just a small portion... lol

I think I have seen pics of his work before... He does work with cars, too, right?

Small world, I have seen you post on Dick's blog.

Um... I don't think I've seen any cars he's worked with... Doesn't mean he doesn't... lol
It IS a small world... :)

Odd, fascinating, and decorative!

Add "argumentative" and that also describes the artist... lol

He is a codgity, old, loud, opinionated, outlandish man... and he's one of my favorite characters IN this county!! :D

That is what they call--there's a name for that kind of art and you see a piece of it every once in a while on Antiques Roadshow.

Outsider Art--that's it!

I am having trouble with words today--they are on the tip of my tongue and I have to go find a reference to come up with them.

What a great concept, Anita. I'd love to read a post about the guy who makes them ....

Anita said...

I just might have to do that...:)

Thanks, Diane! Isn't this a great idea? Every photographer gets those "odd" shots that don't seem to fit in anywhere else.. lol
